Encompass is excited to offer our popular Finding Calm Series! This virtual six-part series is for parents of children between the ages of 6 months and 8 years, and will teach mindful-based skills to reduce stress, enhance strong bonds, explore self-compassion, and encourage balance in family interactions.<\/p>\n
Weekly Schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n Week 1: Introduction to the following concepts: mindfulness, self-compassion, and common humanity.<\/p>\n Week 2: Calm Mind: Understanding our brain\u2019s responses in various situations.<\/p>\n Week 3: Calm Body: Understanding our body\u2019s response in various situations.<\/p>\n Week 4: Calm Connection: Understanding attunement and practicing active listening.<\/p>\n Week 5: Calm Emotion and Calm Enough: Understanding our reactions and responses to various emotions. Practicing gratitude, the concept of \u201cGood Enough Parent,\u201d and a wrap-up.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Finding Calm<\/strong> will meet virtually on Tuesdays, June 24 – July 22, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
