Encompass offers internship opportunities across clinic-based, in-home, and community-based settings, including Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT), our birth-to-three, family-centered early support program.<\/p>\n

Ideal for:<\/strong> Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy students<\/p>\n Mental Health interns support children and families through play based individual, group, and family therapy experiences. You\u2019ll gain exposure to assessment, intervention, documentation, and advocacy while working alongside licensed clinicians. Opportunities may include clinic sessions, preschool-based services, and community outreach.<\/p>\n Ideal for:<\/strong> OT graduate and OTA undergraduate students<\/p>\n Ideal for:<\/strong> PT graduate students and PTA students<\/p>\n Physical Therapy interns gain hands-on exposure to pediatric movement, strength, balance, and functional mobility. Much of this learning happens in natural environments through birth-to-three ESIT services, supporting children in meaningful, everyday activities.<\/p>\n Ideal for:<\/strong> SLP graduate students and SLPA students<\/p>\n Speech-Language Pathology interns support communication, language, feeding, and social engagement across a variety of settings. Interns collaborate closely with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams, including within ESIT, where parent coaching and learning through daily routines are central.<\/p>\n Ideal for:<\/strong> SLP, OT, PT, Social Work, Infant Mental Health, Early Childhood Special Education, Family Studies, and related programs<\/p>\n ESIT interns support infants, toddlers, and their caregivers through individualized early supports and parent coaching. You\u2019ll learn how to partner with families within natural routines, build developmental skills through play, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that may include SLPs, OTs, PTs, family resource coordinators, mental health specialists, and early childhood educators. Experiences may include in-home visits, community-based coaching, developmental monitoring, team meetings, and learning how to empower caregivers as a child\u2019s most important teacher.<\/p>\n Ideal for:<\/strong> ECE, Child Development, or related programs<\/p>\n Early Childhood Education interns work directly with young children and caregivers in play-based, relationship-driven environments. Experiences may include preschool settings, community programs, ESIT developmental support, and family-centered coaching that nurtures early development and emotional regulation.<\/p>\n Marketing & Communications interns help tell the Encompass story. This role supports content creation, storytelling, social media, outreach, and community engagement.
